Leading a consortium with multiple partners – Experience from Yemen

Learnings experienced by Action Against Hunger Yemen on leading a consortium and the many challenges related to the coordination and management of the multiple international partners.
 
 

Action Against Hunger leads a number of large consortiums across the globe. Coordinating the partners of such consortia can prove challenging, especially in volatile contexts with Governments that want to restrict communication between NGOs. In Yemen, Action Against Hunger has been leading such a consortium and faced many challenges related to the coordination and management of the multiple international partners. Gosia Kurkowska, the Deputy Country Director in Yemen, discussed the lessons learned from coordinating the consortium as well as some of the ways that the team managed this.
