2018 was a remarkable year for Action Against Hunger Bangladesh. In the last quarter of 2017, Bangladesh experienced one of the largest and the fastest growing humanitarian crises in the world, which brought more than 700,000 refugees into Cox’s Bazar.
As one of the most active humanitarian organisations working in the country, Action Against Hunger scaled up its operations, reaching over 1.5 million people across 53 projects in 2018.
This report focuses on our operations in the wake of the crisis, providing an overview of our mid to long term initiatives to build resilient communities, an evaluation of our impact (including coverage, key achievements and contributions to the SDGs) and a breakdown of our financial activities in 2018.
