Health & Nutrition Workshop
The annual International Health and Nutrition workshop is live and underway, bringing together a range of participants across the Action Against Hunger network for 1 week between 23-27 September in the Dakar, Senegal.
The central theme of this year’s workshop is the Continuum of Care: a lifecycle approach to health and reflections on the connection between each stage. Today’s blog will introduce the Continuum of Care and explain why such an integrated approach to health is so important.
Day 1 of the workshop, on Monday 23 September, included a breakout session on Social Empowerment. The aim of this session was for participants to gain understanding of some key concepts, and to encourage self-reflection and identify key actions for improvement. Read more about the three participatory approaches in this short blog.
During this year’s Health & Nutrition Workshop two organsiations, Emergency Nutrition Network (ENN) and GOAL, presented their work on MAMI: Management of At-Risk Mothers & Infants under six months. This blog will summarise these insightful presentations on MAMI.
